Full of color–that is how I believe life should be. I chose Rangeeli Chick as the name of my blog for that reason. In Hindi, rangeeli means colorful (and I also chose it because I am a bit of an India fanatic, but I digress).
Most people I know call me T. I am from the rural, upper Midwest in the US. I am 30ish (I can now add the ish to my age), and I have a BA in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design.
I always struggle with these “About” sections. They always make me feel like I am trying too hard to describe myself in a limited space. I guess the beauty in having my own blog is, I can have as much space as I want to fill with my randomness! Fear not, I do have some purpose behind Rangeeli Chick. It will be more than ramblings!
Purpose #1: This is a challenge for myself. I have been toying with the idea of creating a blog for a long time. I blogged while I was in college, and I found it to be a great way for me to write about what my life was like at the time. I think it aided my growth as a person without me realizing, and posting kept my writing skills in check. So, you could say this is a bit of a continuation of that (I think of it as T’s Blog 2.0).
Purpose #2: Learning, sharing, and connecting. Learning is something I do every day, and I want to focus on communicating and sharing information with others. I hope to be able to share various things from the areas of technology, fashion, beauty, books, food, lifestyle, and some personal commentary from time to time. It is so much fun to discover a great book or recipe to pass on to friends and then to exchange feedback on them. This is what I plan on doing.
Purpose #3: Contributing to the diversity of the Interwebs. One personal thing that motivates me is, I have grown up with an unknown muscular condition and have been in a wheelchair since I was about ten years old. It is not what defines me as a person, but it is a part of who I am. It has contributed to my life experiences. While I don’t want to make my website to be centered around this aspect of my life, I do want to share tidbits related to it. Everyone has challenges. They make people more interesting. Some challenges are just more obvious!
And there you have it…a little bit of an intro! I hope that through Rangeelichick.com I can continue to grow as an individual, and that you, my lovely audience, can take something from reading my blog as well! Thank you for visiting!
